Can I get a same-day appointment?

It may be possible to have a same day clinic consultation if a referral is received in time by your GP. Same day endoscopy is unlikely unless a space is present on an afternoon list. Colonoscopies require bowel preparation the day before.

Will my insurance cover my visit?

Please check the Fees page. You are strongly advised to contact your fund prior to booking any procedures to ensure you know exactly what your insurance policy will cover you for, if you have an excess, and whether it is applicable to day procedures as well as overnight stays. Our receptionist can provide the right level of detail on the phone at the time of booking the appointment.

Do I need a referral from my GP? Why can't I just book an appointment myself?

Patients require a GP referral for a medicare rebate. It is possible to book an appointment in advance and obtain the referral later but for medicare rebates the referral must be available prior to the appointment.
