Dr Adrian McElholm studied Medicine at Queen’s University of Belfast (QUB), graduating with Distinction in Medicine and Surgery in 1997. He achieved Membership of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP) in 2002 and was awarded an MD for his research on Reflux Oesophagitis, Barrett’s Oesophagus and Oesophageal Cancer in 2012. He became a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow (FRCP(Glasg)) in 2010 and a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of Physicians (FRACP) in 2014. After completing Interventional Endoscopy fellowships in the Royal Perth Hospital, Australia and the Royal Bournemouth Hospital, England, he commenced work in 2012 as a Consultant Gastroenterologist and Hepatologist in Arrowe Parke Hospital NHS Trust in the Wirral, Liverpool, England. In 2013 he was appointed as a Consultant Gastroenterologist and Hepatologist in Rockingham General Hospital and Fremantle Hospital, and subsequently Fiona Stanley Hospital when it opened in 2014. He continues to have public positions in Rockingham General Hospital and Fiona Stanley Hospital.
